This Summer get FIT for FREE in a park near you!

The wonderfully successful "Fitness In The Parks" program sponsored by Independent Health & YMCA Buffalo Niagara will be returning again this year!!


The FREE Fitness in the Parks program will start on May 28, 2019 and run throughout most of the summer, ending on August 24, 2019.  I have been doing this program for years now and absolutely LOVE that they offer various exercise classes free of charge.  Having these sessions in public parks where I can enjoy the warm outdoors as well as get in an hour of exercise gets me excited about working out.  It's much more fun with a pal too, so consider grabbing a buddy or two to join you!! My friend and I really enjoy taking the Zumba classes together.  Last year I had fun trying out a couple of different classes too, like Bootcamp and BollyX.

Here is the schedule of classes available at various parks around town.  Note this is a FREE service to ALL Western New Yorkers of all ages and skill levels, not just a benefit for Independent Health insurance members.  These FREE 60-minute classes are led by certified YMCA instructors. NO registration is required - just show up!
